What we are looking for in our teachers:
Do you have the qualities needed to make a great Music Time teacher? Here's what we need:
Lots of energy & enthusiasm: You need the confidence to lead the classes in a professional manner with a genuine interest in the children and their learning. You need to believe in the Music Time product and the educational benefits of making music with young children and convey a sense of fun with a ‘can-do' approach.
A musical background: You will need a good, strong, clear and tuneful singing voice, with a good sense of pitch and rhythm. You need to be able to show the children how much fun making music is, and how they are all able to do it themselves. It is preferable that you have formal musical qualifications and play an instrument, but this is not essential.
Teaching experience: Ideally you will have previous experience as a teacher or nursery nurse. However, other relevant experience with young children would be useful. Also, you will need to be able to keep the classes fun and exciting for all whilst giving individual attention and enabling the children to develop.
Excellent communication skills: You will need to communicate confidently with both children and nursery staff in a positive and professional manner. You also need to be able to convey a sense of fun to the children and help them to communicate with confidence.
Commitment to your business: We are looking for people with whom we can build long term relationships and who can build good relationships with the nurseries. You need the drive and enthusiasm to make sure that your business succeeds and that clients are maintained.
Does this sound like you? If you have the skills above, we would love to hear from you and answer any questions you may have about the opportunity please do give Becca a call on 01604 891675.
